The area

The pretty Tizza beach lies close to the estate. In addition to its shops and services, it also offers a range of aquatic sports, as well as the opportunity for lovely walks along the coastal pathways.

The Tradicetu beach, which is larger, can be reached by dirt path from Campu Tondu. Its wild beauty is unspoilt and it is therefore particularly suited to the enthralling horse rides offered by the riding centre Cavadda di Santu Pultru just 1 km from the estate.

Campu Tondu lies 15 km from Sartene, whose old town retains the remnants of a rich medieval past, particularly evident on Good Friday when the Catinacciu, the red penitent, carries the cross and chains through the narrow cobbled streets to the resonating chanting that dates back to the 8th century...

The large megalithic sites in the immediate vicinity of the estate provide some Corsican history for the visitor to discover: Cauria with its menhir statues, or Paddaghju with over 200 menhirs, the largest such site in Southern Europe in terms of the number of monuments.

The region offers numerous activities and attractions, and all sports are available including tennis and acrobranch. In summer the Sartene region puts on a rich variety of musical evenings and exhibitions, local craft fairs and cultural visits; there is something for everyone to do, even if it is simply relaxing in the peaceful atmosphere of the Campu Tondu gites to the gentle lullabies of the crickets...
